Co-Adapting IMPACT
Based on high clinical buy-in, early results and access to funding, we are now adapting IMPACT beyond Alberta!
We are currently in Phase 1 of our project: adapt IMPACT to different sites/provinces/areas across Canada, including BC, Ontario, and the Maritime provinces.
Phase 2 will involve: implementing and evaluating the adapted IMPACT.
So far, we have received ethics approval to recruit and conduct interviews with healthcare providers and staff, patients, survivors, and their carers, and personnel from support organizations to gather information to help us refine, adapt, and co-create IMPACT for success in BC and Ontario.

Other Research
We are also involved in a variety of projects focused on health, well-being, quality of life, and advancing the science of patient engagement.
This research involves working closely with individuals living with systemic sclerosis, women navigating postpartum and perimenopausal transitions, and older adults. We partner with patients and community members to better understand their lived experiences. We are especially interested in resilience and what supports meaningful engagement and behaviour change in everyday life. Our goal is to design supportive, person-centred programs that truly fit people’s real-world contexts.
From time to time, we may be looking for individuals who are interested in taking part in research studies or sharing their experiences. Opportunities to get involved will be shared here as they arise.
